Sequeira Earns League Pitcher of Week Honor

ELMHURST, Ill. – Oral Roberts senior Anthony Sequeira was selected as the Summit League Pitchers of the Week for his performance April 20-26.

Sequeira records his first career Pitcher of the Week award of the season after collecting a win over South Dakota State and a save vs. UALR. In Tuesday's game against the Trojans, the senior right hander had three strikeouts in his lone inning of work on just 11 pitches for the save. In Sunday's extra inning win over the Jackrabbits, he tossed the final four innings with six strikeouts and a walk to earn his first win of the year. For the week, Sequeira pitched five innings in relief with nine strikeouts, one walk and no hits allowed. On the year, he has a 1.17 ERA with 30 strikeouts, six saves and just four walks. Sequeira has also earned two Player of the Week awards this season.
